The September event in question is earmarked for Mexican Independence Day – at the massive $2.3 billion Sphere. Boasting 580,000 square feet of LED screen panels, it is to host UFC’s new annual card of celebrating the Mexican Independence Day. Due to hard-hitting financial investments, this will be the only time the venue will be used. However, the UFC boss has promised a spectacular event.
McGregor previously called for a trilogy bout with Nate Diaz on the card. However, that motion drowned as soon as it was birthed. Diaz’s Mexican heritage makes it sensible to have the trilogy bout on the card. Nevertheless, the final decision is up to the UFC brass.
