The ‘Diamond‘ emphasized his long-standing UFC career. He’s been throwing hands in the octagon since 2010. On the other hand, Chandler is relatively new to the UFC scene. He has just five fights under the UFC banner and hasn’t fought for almost two years. The duo have fought before, with Poirier getting the better of him and submitting him in the third round.
It’s clear that Poirier believes Chandler hasn’t earned his stripes yet. He sees Chandler as an outsider trying to speak for the division.
