Over the last week, NBA legend Shaquille OโNeal was in attendance for the most coveted boxing matchup between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson. Interestingly, after watching the matchup, OโNeal came up with an idea that he put forward to a Netflix reporter.
The idea was that retired players from different sports come together to play once again. However, it was just an idea pitched by OโNeal who was alongside his dear friend and NFL legend, Rob Gronkowski. Only time will be able to determine whether it will actually occur or not.
But if it inspires him, OโNeal enjoys forging new paths. However, his former rival Dwight Howard chimed in on this as he took to social to call out OโNeal for a boxing match. Now, OโNeal has a cheeky response to Howardโs statement.
Gotta have more than one ring to get in the ring with me, Iโll stick with a real champion like @RobGronkowski, and you can have the Superman belt, all yours buddy,

OโNeal added salt to Howardโs wounds. Because the former Lakers star has won only 1 NBA title during the 2019-20 season. As for OโNeal, he won multiple NBA titles as well as NBA MVP Awards in his illustrious career.
OโNeal and Howard share a vast history, as both stars donโt get along with each other for years in the NBA. Aside from this, Gronkowski and OโNealโs recent idea would be appealing to sports fans worldwide.
However, the most important aspect is to turn this idea into reality. They are both overly ambitious and would likely pitch this plan to future investors. It remains to be seen how this situation ends up going forward.
Dwight Howard once made a HUGE revelation regarding Shaquilleย OโNeal
The โSupermanโ nickname, which Shaquille OโNeal feels is legitimately his, has been the main focus of Dwight Howard and OโNealโs long-standing enmity. The two have always been at odds. Especially, when Howard spoke about some extremely private and โdisrespectfulโ comments that OโNeal had given him in private on his show โAbove the Rim with DH 12.โ
Despite theย hatred, Howard has often expressed his desire to put an end to his feud with OโNeal. He reaffirmed on the podcast that he didnโt harbor any animosity toward Shaq and that he would rather work out their issues. But OโNealโs private texts, which Howard called โdisrespectful,โ imply that he isnโt as eager to put the past behind him.
