In today’s fast-paced digital world, having a strong online presence is crucial for businesses to effectively reach their target audience. One of the most effective ways to achieve this is through the use of social media platforms. With billions of users worldwide, social media has become a powerful tool for businesses to connect with potential customers, promote their products or services, and build brand awareness. In this article, we will explore the top reasons why social media is important for businesses and how it can help them grow and succeed in today’s competitive market.

Baseball is often described as a game of fine margins. A few inches here and there can decide the outcome of the play. It was seen once again on Tuesday as the Chicago White Sox claimed the win over Texas Rangers through a call that has now become controversial. A play at home plate which was earlier ruled out as out was later overturned after a video review. This resulted in the White Sox taking the lead in the eighth inning which eventually led them to victory.

The hosts were trailing the game early on. With the game level at 6-6, White Sox’ Zach Remillard drove a single to the left side of the field. This led former Rangers player, Elvis Andrus to run towards the home plater. A throw by Travis Jankowski was caught by catcher Jonah Heim, who tagged out Andrus at the plate.

The White Sox were unpleased with the attempt by Heim. They decided to challenge the decision. After several replays, the officials overturned their decision. They mentioned that Heim was “blocking” the home plate as Andrus tried to slide to safety. The replays also showed that his hand did cross the plate and did not make any contact with the catcher.

This overturned decision led to huge joy in Guaranteed Rate Field. It was time for the Rangers to be unhappy with the decision. Manager Bruce Bochy got into an argument with the umpires. This move led to him being ejected from the game. The hosts would clinch on to the lead and came away with a valuable win.

Whether the decision by the officials in New York was right or wrong is up for debate. There is no doubt it changed the course of the game though. If the call was not overturned, the Rangers would have entered the ninth inning with the scores level. However trailing 7-6, they had to master a comeback late on with momentum clearly against them.

This is however not the first time the White Sox had won a game in a controversial fashion. A few days ago they walked-off the Detroit Tigers after the ball stuck the mask of the home plate umpire. Fans on Twitter have a different opinion regarding this matter and they have shown their displeasure regarding it.

After the game manager Bochy went on to slam the officials for this decision. “It’s absolutely one of the worst calls I’ve ever seen and it was done by replay,” he said while adding that the call was “embarrassing.” Meanwhile, his counterpart Pedro Grifol did not offer much and explained that he had not seen the play in real-time.

The series between these two is tied now. They will take to the field on Wednesday night hoping to grab the series. The White Sox will probably be more hungry and desperate for the win. They are currently 32-43, four-and-a-half games behind the Twins in first place. In sharp contrast to other leagues, the AL Central is the only division to not have a single team with more than a .500 win percentage. Leaders Twins are 36-38 themselves, leading to the question of competition level in the division.
