Asking difficult questions to the right person rarely happens. Recently, Sloane Stephens, Wiz Khalifa, Steve-O, Brent Faiyaz, and Sam Jay joined UFC bossman Dana White and top crop Sean O’Malley in a sitdown. Comedian Jay had some interesting notions about the bizarreness of Power Slap.
Power Slap is under the sanctions of the Nevada State Athletic Commission. A brainchild of Dana White, he is overtly ecstatic about it. Not too long ago, he mentioned its value to be near $750 million in just a year. He mentions that there are even knockoffs to Power Slap right now. Sam Jay asks to what extent?

Sheena Bathory’s raspberry kiss in the inaugural Women’s Power Slap surpassed Taylor Swift‘s The Blank Space reel by 10 million views. 420 lbs Power Slap super heavyweight champion Koa Viernes is similarly famous. Subsequently, the ‘Da Cr*zy Hawaiian’ blowing out Larry Wheels by a single slap went viral again. Controversial or not, the slap fighting sports is still making waves.
But where would it end? Would any violent, hard-hitting sports be a pro-sanction if it made money? Dana White says it has to be his liking. White has long put that the social metrics exceed those of the NFL, NBA, etc. While former NAC Chairman Stephen Cloobeck retracted his support, many others laud White because Power Slap remains a spectacle sport. As such, its popularity continues to increase.
Slap Fighting Championships: Deterrent or knockoff to Dana White and Co.?
Dana White and his slap-fighting league is the next-to-last destination for many combat sports commissions who prefer minimal contact. It has also drawn in big stars, whether they participate or not. The pioneer of UK MMA, Michael Bisping, commentated on in-house Power Slap shows. Garry Brecka’s ’10X Health’ is a clinical sponsor. Not long ago, UFC-BKFC vet and internet’s viral trap Paige VanZant made her gangster debut in slap-fighting. VanZant made her mark at Power Slap 8.
Slap Fighting Championships was modestly famous for a while before Dana White’s Power Slap (Source: ringtv.com/X)The primary ownership conglomerate of White, UFC CBO Hunter Campbell, and Zuffa founders – Fertittas, regulate the league along with NSAC. White makes a personal appearance on most cards even. However, for a brief while, there was once a whole other league: Slap Fighting Championships.
Current WWE US champ in his first reign, Logan Paul, formed it alongside strongman legend and Hollywood movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger. It occurred at the Arnold Classic Sports and Fitness Festival in Columbus, Ohio. For much of 2022, the namesake organization subsequently became quite famous. Paul got the idea, partaking in a slap tournament in Russia, where the sport is from.

He had to pull out when he KOed the 350lb Champion. His video on the situation, titled THE SLAP THAT CHANGED MY LIFE, got over 21 million views. While not as famous as Power Slap, this short stint has been quite a drive for slap-fighting culture.
