Gervonta Davis and Eddie Hearn strike at each other again. This time on X. Tension has been brewing between the two for a while now. They now engaged in their dispute publically after Ryan Garcia’s test results came positive.
Ryan Garcia defeated Devin Haney and shocked the world. However, he was accused of taking drugs before the fight and the test results came positive. Gervonta Davis who had previously fought Garcia accused promoter Eddie Hearn’s involvement. During their online back and forth, Davis accused Hearn of being fake and wrote he knew his reality. He even threatened to knock his head off his shoulders. To this, Hearn responded:

This was an attack on Davis’s short stature and the internet found it very amusing. Garcia tested positive for the banned PED Ostarine in two drug tests before and after his fight with Devin Haney. Davis and Hearn have also exchanged words on social media about the failed drug tests.
In February, Davis also leaked an email from Hearn that offered Davis a guaranteed $10 million purse. It also mentioned a percentage of ticket and PPV sales. Davis previously earned more than $10 million in his fight against Garcia, so he would likely take a pay cut for a fight against Martin. Hearn has also criticized Davis for leaking the email.
Eddie Hearn reveals Devin Haney wants fight against Ryan Garcia scrapped off as no contest
PEDs in sports is a serious issue that is not taken lightly. Ryan Garcia and Golden Boy Promotions will face serious consequences if they cannot prove themselves to be innocent. Meanwhile, opponent Devin Haney is not happy that he has been duped and his record has been tarnished.
Hearn recently spoke to “The Stomping Ground” YouTube channel. During their discussion, he revealed that Devin Haney wants the fight to be overturned into a no-contest.
I spoke to Devin Haney last night, In his mind, he’s absolutely furious. Garcia came in three and a half pounds overweight and had performance-enhancing drugs in his system. Haney will want the contest to be an immediate no-contest, for that to be scrubbed off the card, but we will see what happens.

Hearn brought up the case of Conor Benn who had to go through three hearings and so many processes. Hearn hopes that Garcia and promoter Oscar De La Hoya have the resilience to deal with the New York State Athletic Commission. They reportedly have to prove that Garcia somehow did not know that the PED was being ingested, or how it was ingested, or how it was contaminated.
