Fortnite rolled out its ranked version in May and it was an update of 24.40. Fortnite went on to revise this update with 25.10 and it was released alongside Fortnite ranked zero and end of Trios. Epic Games is known to have an efficient dedicated team to work out logistics of servers and systems running into glitches and bugs. And now Epic Games is getting the run for their money since Fortnite ranked mode for season zero ran into crashing issues and eventually is disabled.
This called for immediate assistance from Fortnite status, the official Twitter handler which broke the news and announced the lingering issue at hand.In their statement Fortnite Status said, “We’ve temporarily disabled Ranked Battle Royale and Ranked Zero Build while we investigate a crashing issue,” it tweeted, just hours after the Fortnite downtime had ended and update 25.10 had been deployed. “We’ll provide an update when Ranked is available again. Thank you for your patience.”
Fortnite Ranked disabled after pertaining crashing issues
This incident happened soon after new ranked season started out. However, players already started to face some issues. Some players reported that they were de-ranked tremendously and some players were promoted the same. Then this ranked mode’s crashing issue acted as fuel to the already going-on frenzy. Players were not able to log in or start ranked mode in either of the modes.
As a result, Epic Games had to disable the ranked mode in Fortnite. With update 25.10 the problems seem to only persist for an unknown time. There has been no official statement by Epic Games for how long would it take to get the Fortnite Ranked back online in its full glory.
This however did not stop users from complaining about other issues as well. Some of the players complained about the issue of crashing.

This has to be one of the worst seasons in Fortnite history. Season trash in general. Ranked sucks. You break the shitty game mode for comp players. Now you break the game. LMAO— WheresAldo (@WheresAldo8) June 20, 2023
Today, the unimaginable happened: Fortnite’s servers collapsed. Despair engulfs me, dreams shattered. Discord cries, forums mourn, social media erupts. Without Fortnite, eating sleeping lose meaning. The world fades, birds’ chirping mocks. Each moment feels eternal void unfilled.— Nuclear Atomic (@nuclear_atomic_) June 20, 2023
Some of the players have even asked to get the Fortnite Arena back. And dissed at the new Ranked play that is not going well with some fans as well. With a few asking to add Siphon back into Fortnite.
Okay when you fix that can you add siphon— nicole (@GazingNicole) June 20, 2023
Millions of players play Fortnite every day. With a player pool that’s huge and spending hours playing games. It’s necessary to keep the game operational at all times at all costs. But running into problems attracts a lot of backlash and loss of playtime. It wouldn’t be until Epic Games releases any official statement regarding the same. For until then players will have to wait it out patiently. Until then hold on to new updates about the crashing issue.
