The announcement of Paige VanZant‘s entry into Power Slap was just made during UFC Saudi Arabia. The former UFC fighter will make her Power Slap debut this June in Las Vegas. She will face Christine Wolmarans who was one of the first female contenders in the first ever women’s Power Slap showdown. They will fight at the Fontainebleau Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
VanZant had previously made her professional boxing debut in 2021 and is currently 0-2. She featured at the MF & Dazn: X Series event and her opponent was Elle Brookes. Their highly anticipated showdown was ruled a draw. While rumors of a potential rematch did circulate the internet, the latest development in VanZant’s career is Dana White’s controversial sports venture.
VanZant is the first UFC fighter stepping into the UFC CEO’s slap-fighting league. Power Slap is only about a year old and it has already found a dedicated fanbase despite the widespread criticism.
