The New York Knicks faced an in-from Minnesota Timberwolves side away from home on Thursday in the NBA. It was the homecoming of former Wolves player, Karl-Anthony Towns, who was traded to the Knicks during the summer. KAT got the better of his former teammate Anthony Edwards during their matchup as he led the scoring with 32 points and guided his team to victory by 107-133.
Edwards finished with seven assists and 17 points on 7-for-16 shooting. Timberwolves fell hard on their home court for the first time since November 27. Julius Randle produced 24 points on 8-for-17 shooting. Notably, Edwards was left furious with his side’s offensive performance against the Knicks on home court.
The Knicks made 50 of 97 shots, or 51.5 percent, including 20 of 45 three-pointers. Minnesota’s overall shooting percentage was 46.1 percent (41 of 89), and their 3-point shooting percentage was 40.5 percent (17 of 42). This was one of the reasons Edwards was left furious with his teammates’ offensive capabilities.

The Knicks are now 17-10 in the East and sit in 3rd place on the table. Also, up next for them are the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday.
Timberwolves star Rudy Gobert takes blame for his sides recent loss against Knicks
The Minnesota Timberwolves lacked in offense against the New York Knicks which led to a poor loss in Minneapolis. Despite Julius Randle and Anthony Edwards scoring a fair amount of points, their teammates did not step up in this game.
This was especially true for Timberwolves star Rudy Gobert. The towering French star endured a poor night, scoring a mere 3 points against the Knicks. However, Gobert took the blame for his poor performance. After the game, ,
Rudy Gobert had 3 points and 4 rebounds in tonight’s loss to the Knicks and was a -37 in 22 minutes.

Just like Gobert, Mike Conley only managed three points. After scoring eight points in the first quarter, Jaden McDaniels failed to score again. The Wolves were dominated in every aspect, Timberwolves’ coach Chris Finch stated plainly. They were outnumbered by 57 to 37. In the paint, they were outscored 54–48. Additionally, the Knicks recorded 14 second-chance points compared to Minnesota’s meager five.
