LeBron James is currently playing his 21st season in the NBA. The athlete is known to set and break NBA records because of his long and amazing career.

After breaking the record for most points in the NBA last year, on Saturday, James set the record of 40,000 points by a player in a regular season in NBA history.

Despite a historic night for their forward, the Los Angeles Lakers lost the game against the Denver Nuggets by ten points.

Fans also lost their minds after seeing the results of Clark’s decision. They could not fathom how this college superstar could affect the WNBA at this magnitude.

However, Davis added that it will be difficult as James is still active and the record is going to increase as he plays. Further, Davis joked about the Lakers losing games where James sets a new record.

I was just telling him in the locker room. He might have to stop breaking records because we always lose any time he breaks a record.

James also seems to have agreed with Davis.

The Lakers played against the Nuggets at home. The team maintained the lead for the first two quarters but started going downhill in the third quarter. The Lakers gave up the lead during the last few minutes of the game. Similarly, when James passed Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the all-time leading scorer, the Lakers lost the game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Saturday’s loss in James’ historic game became a topic of discussion in the NBA world. Fans were upset because of the loss on a special day. But Lakers forwards LeBron James and Anthony Davis are not taking the losing streak personally.

During the post-game interview, James talked about consecutive losses against the Nuggets.

We just want to get better every night. It doesn’t matter who our opponent is. So it doesn’t matter if it’s the Nuggets or the Clippers, or the Wizards or whoever the case we play, we have to just try to play our game and defend at a high level.
James said

James admitted that their opponent is not the focus of the team.

I think just to start the month off right. Obviously, they’ve had our number for a while. But I don’t think we look at it as we got to beat them for our own personal morale or something like that.
Davis thinks similarly of the situation,

The Lakers are focusing on winning games in general rather than on a particular team.
