On Saturday, the Detroit Pistons played in Little Caesars Arena in front of their home crowd. The Dallas Mavericks defeated them 124-142, another heartbreaking defeat. Due to the team’s bad performance, a supporter lost control of his emotions. As a result, general manager, Troy Weaver got into a heated argument with the fan and asked security to handle the matter.

A man dressed in a Red Wings costume appeared to approach Weaver at his seat during the fourth quarter of Detroit’s loss to the Mavericks. Weaver lost his cool in the face of the insults and retaliated with threats and foul language directed at the supporter of his side.

The footage that has gone viral shows Weaver standing in the aisle near the fans in the seat. However, it is unclear how the incident began.

You are lucky, I don’t beat your ass.

Seeing the GM’s heated reaction, the fan came up with a response of his own.

You suck at your job.
Fan said to Weaver

Weaver then signaled for a security guard to remove the individual from the area. The video abruptly ended. Right now, the Detroit Pistons are sitting in the last place with a pretty dismal record.

What was the real reason for the heated argument between Troy Weaver and the fan?

Following the intense altercation between Weaver and the fan, 46-year-old Detroit season ticket holder, Jeffrey Calloway told the Associated Press’s Larry Lage that he was seated close to Troy Weaver when the fan made two approaches to the general manager before being led away. Calloway described the entire verbal altercation to the reporter.

The guy that was in the incident, with the red wings stuff on, came over and was pointing at the scoreboard earlier in the game. When Duren got ejected, the guy came back and told him that he was terrible at his job. Then, Troy Weaver was telling the fan he had to leave and that’s when ushers or security walked over.

The Press contacted the Pistons over the event, but they chose not to comment. The Pistons are now 10-53, which is considerably worse than they were previously. They’ve even made history in the wrong ways, as during their season-opening record-tying 28-game losing run.
