Emma Raducanu has been out of the WTA Tour for a while now due to multiple injuries. She has often said in the media that it isn’t very pleasing to not be playing tennis. For that reason, she has tried to keep herself busy in different ways as her rehabilitation is on. The Brit offered online coaching for students and also gave people a look inside her personal life. She recently also started going to the National Tennis Center and surprise kids out there who are pursuing the sport.

Raducanu recently shared a video on Instagram of her going to the National Tennis Center. In the video, she can be seen hiding behind and listening to the kids talk about their favourite stars. She then slowly comes and sits next to them. The surprised look on the face of the kids gave the Brit a lot of happiness. As the video starts it can be seen that the kids are asked who their favourite player is.

All of them say Emma Raducanu except one who says it’s Rafael Nadal. Once Raducanu sits next to them one kid is asked what the Brit needs to improve on. The kid adorably responds, “Maybe she needs to practice a bit more.” To which Raducanu bursts out laughing.

Raducanu can be seen having the time of her life with the kids around her, as she is impressed by their ‘roasting’ her. However, her most favorite joy would still be to compete on the tour, and along with enjoying these pleasures, she would love to complete her rehabilitation as fast as possible.

A comeback to the tour after an injury lay-off is one of the biggest challenges in sport. Only a handful have been able to successfully stage their comebacks. Many have succumbed and have been forced to retire early or find something else to do. Raducanu, at such a young age, would certainly not want to leave her sport so soon. She would love to compete as long as she can.

Unfortunately, so early in her career, she had to deal with multiple body issues. However, her rehabilitation is going on successfully and she would look to recover as soon as possible.

For Raducanu, her fellow Brit, tennis legend Andy Murray, can be a great motivating example. Murray himself fell from No. 1 to No. 838. He didn’t give up and staged a comeback and is in the top 50 and is challenging the best players regularly. Raducanu should look to be patient once she comes back.

Success won’t come very fast. It’ll take her time to find her feet again. However, if she stays injury free and consistent, she will be able to climb up the rankings faster than expected.
