A grave accident was averted at LFA 160 during a bout between two fighters. Freak accidents although common are tough on the fighters and hard for the audience to watch. The lightweight showdown between Josiah Harrell and Mike Roberts could have ended in a mishap. Luckily no big harm was done.
Josiah Harrell and Mike Roberts competed on the main card of LFA 160 on 16th June. The card was headlined by John Sweeney and Allan Begosso for the vacant bantamweight title. The event took place at Owensboro Sports Center in Kentucky and was available to watch with a UFC Fight Pass. The lightweight fight between Josiah Harrell and Mike Roberts turned out to be the highlight of the event due to an unexpected event amidst the fight.
During the third round of the fight, Josiah attempted a double-leg takedown on Roberts. The takedown could have been a successful one for Harrell. However, due to the force and Roberts was pushed to the fence. The fighters coincidentally happened to be in alignment with the cage door and Harrell managed to blow the gates of his cage with the takedown attempt. The fight was taken to the front row as both fighters stumbled outside the cage.
Despite the scary accident both Harrell and Roberts were not harmed and resumed their fight. Harrell then went on to defeat Mike Roberts by winning his debut in the promotion. Harrell still carries an undefeated MMA record with 7 wins and 0 losses.

Lightweight fighter, Joseph Harrell was making his promotional debut against Mike Roberts on the main card of LFA 160. The card was headlined by a bout for the vacant bantamweight title and took place in Kentucky.
During the third round of the bout, Harrell attempted a huge double-leg takedown that sent Roberts flying to the fence. As fate would have it, both fighters were in alignment with the cage door, which blew open due to the force of the takedown. The fight was taken to the front-row audience, no fighter was heavily injured. The takedown from Josiah has gone viral ever since and fans are having a field day in the comments section.
