On Sunday, the Kansas City Chiefs won Super Bowl LVIII over the San Francisco 49ers. The closely fought battle between the two teams was entertaining for fans to watch. After the Chiefs beat their opponents, as part of the team’s celebration, wide receiver Marquez Valdes-Scantling had one of the more crazier ways to mark the team’s second consecutive Super Bowl victory.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling planted the team flag into the NFL logo on the turf at Allegiant Stadium. He waved it twice before planting it on the ground. The wideout’s celebration is probably going to be remembered for a while. He contributed towards his team’s win by scoring a touchdown against the 49ers.
The wideout probably hoped for his celebration to go down in history as one of the best celebrations, such as Michael Jordan lying on the locker room floor after winning the NBA championship, or Kobe Bryant sitting in the locker room after winning the ring in 2001.

Fans called Marquez Valdes-Scantling out and alleged that the game was scripted
For fans of the Kansas City Chiefs, this celebration was nothing short of iconic and amazing to see, but for the rest, this proved to them that the NFL was scripted and the outcome of Super Bowl LVIII was pre-determined. After all, even Joe Biden tweeted out a bizarre picture with a caption that hinted towards the NFL being fixed.
Here’s how fans reacted to Marquez Valdes-Scantling’s celebration via X (formerly known as Twitter):

Well, he did score a touchdown in the Super Bowl, so that does count for something.

Ridiculous narrative, the 49ers blew it, and the Chiefs deserved the win. It is that simple.
Leave it to MVS to drop the flag

With this, the Kansas City Chiefs join a handful of teams that have managed to win back-to-back championships. They have a chance at winning another ring next year and becoming the only team in NFL history to achieve a three-peat. If they do achieve this, this team will go down as one of the greatest dynasties in league history.
