Novak Djokovic paid a visit to the latest NBA match between Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors on Saturday. He was present in the stands at the Crypto.com Arena and after the match was over, he went to the court, where he interacted with the Warriors superstar Stephen Curry. The two legends of their respective sports shared a great moment together.

The Serb gave a signed racket to Steph Curry, who instead gave him his signed jersey, which he wore in the match. The Golden State Warriors defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 128-121 in the match, with Steph Curry himself having 31 points, six rebounds and five assists.

LeBron James was the best performer from the Lakers, scoring 40 points, eight rebounds, and nine assists. Unfortunately, it was not enough to oust the Warriors.

A few days ago, tennis legend Roger Federer also paid a visit to GSW’s match against the Dallas Mavericks at the American Airlines Center. After the match, he also met the team and Steph Curry in particular. However, they did not share gifts like Curry did with Djokovic and the Nole fans were quick to point that out on the internet.

Djokovic’s campaign in the 2024 Indian Wells recently came to an end after his shocking defeat to Italian youngster Luca Nardi. As he was still in Los Angeles, he could attend the match between the Lakers and the Warriors. Before the Indian Wells started, he also paid a visit to one of Inter Miami’s matches with his son Stefan.

Novak Djokovic announces that he is set to miss the 2024 Miami Open

After his heartbreaking loss against Luca Nardi in the third round of the 2024 Indian Wells Masters, Novak Djokovic has decided to take a break. He will thus not be taking part in the 2024 Miami Open, which commences in a few days. The Serb has won the Miami Open a record six times. He announced his decision to opt out of the tournament through a tweet on X.

Hi Miami! Unfortunately I won’t be playing the @MiamiOpen this year. At this stage of my career, I’m balancing my private and professional schedule. I’m sorry that I won’t experience some of the best and most passionate fans in the world. I’m looking fw competing in MI in future!.
Djokovic wrote in his tweet

This might mean that the Serb will now directly take part in the clay swing. He won the French Open last year and will hope to replicate his success in 2024 as well. However, his immediate rivals, namely Carlos Alcaraz, Jannik Sinner, and Daniil Medvedev, are all in great form.

Moreover, Rafael Nadal is also expected to make his return in the French Open. So it will not be an easy task for the Serb.
