LeBron James, before the Los Angeles Lakers against the Brooklyn Nets at the Barclays Center in New York, was caught on tape vibing enthusiastically to the latest track from Metro Boomin and Future titled “Like That,” which also included a wild verse from rap artist Kendrick Lamar.
The video got the attention of fans all over social media as Kendrick Lamar’s verse in the song directly attacked J Cole and Drake when he mentioned their hit song, “First Person Shooter.” Fans seeing James rapping to it was shocking as the four-time NBA champion and Drake are well-known friends.
Furthermore, James, who has had a career of not letting detractors decide what he does or does not, had a great game against the Brooklyn Nets as he led them to 6th win in seven games in the 116-104 away win. He led the player statistics chart with 40 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and a career-equalling three-pointer shots.
The King was enjoying himself and, given the season he’s had, deserves to bow out in style, as he admitted after the game that he doesn’t have much time left. For now, all is well between James and his long-time friend, Drake.

The four-time MVP who once listed The Chronic by Dr. Dre, Doggystyle by Snoop, The Black Album by Jay-Z, The Notorious B.I.G.’s Life After Death, and finally, It Was Written by NAS as his top five hip hop albums which showed he has a strong affinity to the industry and genre. Who knows, we might one day see him take up music as a career when he finally decides to draw the curtain on his illustrious basketball career.
