On a night where the Oscars were the talk of the town, Roman Reigns‘ theme song lit up a basketball haven. The Los Angeles Lakers trumped the Minnesota Timberwolves by 120-109 at the Crypto.com Arena. A moment came when LeBron James scored a basket, with The Tribal Chief’s battle hymn being reverberated in the arena. Fans on social media were left amazed at the very sight.
It’s not the first time that Reigns’ theme has been played at the then-Staples Center. The latter served home to WWE events in the City of Angels and happens to this date. However, it just meant more when King James’ basket was backed by Reigns’ very own walkout song. Basketball buffs were indeed impressed, and WWE aficionados basked in the prevalence of Roman’s mainstream outreach.
The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion is gearing up for WrestleMania. Flanked by his Hollywood cousin Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Reigns is set for back-to-back nights of action in Philadelphia. On Saturday, April 6, Reigns and Rock are set to battle against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
If the Samoans lose, then on Sunday, Cody’s title match against Reigns will be free of The Bloodline’s meddling. However, if vice versa happens, Rhodes will have to endure whatever Rock and his men decide. This past Friday on SmackDown, The Rock was smacked in the face by Cody Rhodes.
It was sweet revenge for The American Nightmare, who had to suffer the same wrath at the WrestleMania XL presser in Las Vegas. The Great One’s adjudication that Cody’s birth was merely a mistake instigated his own misery. Seconds after Rhodes slapped Rock, the show went off air.
The faceoff between the Samoan stalwarts and their babyface counterparts on SmackDown was a stiff affair. Apart from Cody Rhodes slapping the taste out of The Rock’s mouth, there was a rather offensive statement from Roman Reigns.

The Rock and Roman Reigns are very entertaining and smart people and don’t need to rely on that. Do better next time?

Roman’s archaic verbiage was met with a palpable groan across the arena. Some fans heavily lashed out at Reigns for glorifying machismo on a show that promotes sports entertainment. Seth didn’t get back to his former Shield brother after the remark.
