LeBron James has been on an absolute tear over the past week. He made NBA history by recording four consecutive triple-doubles this week. As the Los Angeles Lakers pulled into Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, James had to keep the streak going, and that’s exactly what he did.
The Lakers entered the fourth quarter holding on to a slim lead against the New Orleans Pelicans. As the game went down to the wire down the stretch, LeBron James decided to turn back the clock and take over.
James hit two consecutive three-pointers with less than 40 seconds left to hand the Lakers a four-point lead. After draining a three, he brought back his iconic celebration.

Fans have been waiting for the Lakers star to bring back his iconic celebration for quite some time, and James found the perfect moment to bring back the celebration. The game ended in a 104-99 victory for the Lakers.
As for James, he ended the game with 21 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. He ended his triple-double streak but still had an incredible outing, scoring 11 points down the stretch of the game. Following their win, the Lakers now sit in the fourth spot in a gauntlet Western Conference with a 9-4 record.

Stars across the league checked in and voted for Curry’s ‘night night’ as the most iconic celebration in the NBA. Among some of the stars were Curry’s Warriors teammates, Draymond Green and Buddy Hield, who voted for their franchise star. Surprisingly, none of the stars picked James’ iconic silencer celebration.
Other stars like Curry and James’ Team USA teammate Devin Booker also voted for Curry’s celebration as the most iconic in the league. Perhaps James keeping the celebration dormant for so long may have caused some to forget about it, but he made sure to bring back the ‘silencer’ in all its glory on Saturday.
