Christian Woodās situation with his child and its mother has taken a toll on his cars. Footage released shows his babyās mother vandalizing Woodās Mercedes before jumping over his fence. She was arrested later after the footage was shared with police. The Los Angeles Lakers star and the woman in question are in a child custody battle.
Video footage released by The Neighborhood Talk shows Woodās baby mother, Yasmine Lopez, jumping over Woodās fence. She then took a stone from the tarmac and scribbled all over the bonnet and windshield of Woodās Mercedes.
Lopez stopped when Woodās automatic gate opened and got into her car. The entire video seems to have been shot by either Wood or his sister, who were inside the house. After 911 was called and the video shared, Lopez was arrested.
The scenes from the video clearly show Lopez as the aggressor. After her arrest, Wood was told by police that Child Protective Services might get involved concerning their son. That is when Wood and his sister went to former Wild N Out participant Teeās house, who was babysitting Lopez and Woodās son.
The situation at Teeās house escalated with Wood again calling the police, as Tee did not want to give Wood his son as she did not know him. Now, the only solution for both parties is to take the course of the law.
Christian Woodās child custody battle could derail his NBA career
Wood is on a 2-year prove-it deal with the Los Angeles Lakers. Despite showing out for the Houston Rockets a couple of years back, Wood needs to prove to the best teams that he belongs in the NBA. His questionable work ethic was the reason for going undrafted and then struggling through the G-League.
Wood should take the help of law enforcement and other resources to settle the matter peacefully. Only then can he concentrate on giving his best for the Lakers. And since Tee tagged the official Lakers and owner Jeanie Bussā accounts, this matter will be taken up with his employer.
With Yasmine Lopezās antics on record, Christian Wood could try his hand at getting his son to stay with him. This child custody battle has already damaged his Mercedes. Hopefully, it does not damage his career and life.
