The UFC 309 headliner featured two of the most accomplished UFC fighters competing for the heavyweight crown. UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones stood dominant and sent Stipe Miocic to retirement in under four rounds. Jonesโ€™ moment with Donald Trump went viral but one moment went unnoticed. It was Joe Rogan running for the natureโ€™s call.

Veteran podcaster Joe Rogan was there when Jon Jones won his vacant 265-pound strap in March of 2023. Plus, his overtly animated sequences just add to the flavor. Hence, there was no way he was missing out on the main event where โ€œBonesโ€ would face Stipe Miocic. Now, backstage snippets are going viral of Jones rushing for a bathroom break before the main event.

A micโ€™d-up Rogan was visible along with a personnel clearing the path ahead. Subsequently, he had reason to get all the more excited just before the main serving. Michael Chandler survived a four-round beatdown from Charles Oliveira at the UFC 309 co-main event. During a super-chaotic round 5, โ€œIronโ€ yet again slid and jumped when Oliveira had his back, in a WWE-esque motion.

โ€˜Do Bronxโ€™ defeated him via unanimous decision (49-46, 49-46, 49-45) and added to the excitement for the JRE host. Even the Brazilian himself neck-tugged and gave some teasing smooches to Chandler while he had his back in the final few seconds. The commentary booth was so over the top that it had Rogan and Daniel Cormier talking off it for long. There were more excitement to come for him.

UFC 309: Joe Rogan calls Jon Jonesโ€™ post-fight moment โ€˜highlight of the night

Jon Jonesโ€™ first heavyweight title defense was one of the most dominant performances of all-time. He went up against best heavyweight to do it โ€“ the 42-year-old Stipe Miocic. For Joe Rogan, a dramatic performance in the main event of UFC 309 was capped off by his post-fight theatrics in the octagon.

Jones and the President elect Donald Trump shared a brief post-fight chat after he secured victory at UFC 309. Trump, an avid UFC fan, will return to the White House in 2025 after winning the US presidency in an electoral college landslide. Joe Rogan later reiterated on social media that this kinship was the highlight of the night.

Trump arrived at Madison Square Garden with several of his cabinet nominees, including business tycoon Elon Musk, to a thunderous ovation. UFC CEO Dana White was also in tow. Defeating Stipe Miocic is one thing, but no one had Jon Jones doing his arm-pump Trump dance after the victory and starting a โ€œUSA!โ€ chant. To Rogan, these are the moments to live for.
