Darren Till makes vicious callouts after Social Knockout 3 win

Darren Till’s martial arts career remains anything but routine. Since 2020, he might not fight for a while, and when he does, it goes against him. Till faced off against influencer Mohammad Mutie on Saturday at the Social Knockout 3 event at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. The exhibition matchup ended with quite an exhibition indeed.

While clinching and a left underhook, Till landed a rabbit punch to the back of Mutie’s head. Mutie traded as if badly hurt, falling to the canvas and needing the referee and doctor’s checks. After the stoppage, he consequently approached Darren Till, much hostile. Till kicked back at the aggression similarly. The duo pushed to the periphery until the one took the other down.

Darren Till and Mutie got physical and started a brawl, and several more entered the ring. Eventually, cooler heads prevailed. Till got the TKO victory and a prime controversy under his belt. Till’s initial staredowns with Moh Mutie resulted in some fiery faceoff time. However, no one guessed that things would get so holistically aggravating.

The 31-year-old was to make his boxing debut against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on July 20 in Texas. After the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight was shelved to a later date, Till drew Moh. While the Netflix streaming undercard on the Dallas Cowboy’s sacred turf would have been historic for Till, the Dubai affair got intense nonetheless. As such, he took to the mic to address the crowd on it.

Darren Till was to be the next big thing in the UFC, but he underperformed massively. The fighter did take fans aback with his shock announcement of facing Mutie. “The Palestinian Gorilla” has a 2-2-1 record in MMA and is infamous for his rage bar. Till abruptly went from fighting a legacy name to fighting in influencer boxing much to fan dismay.

The announcement came out of nowhere that ex-UFC Uriah Hall would fight Chavez on July 20. Given that he has been on the sidelines since December 2022, Till expressed frustrations about the postponed November 15 date to take on Chavez. Many fans also agree that despite initiating the foremost callouts, he still wouldn’t face Mike Perry. After the contest was waved off, he addressed the crowd:

This is fighting – you get hit, If you don’t want to continue fighting, don’t fight. He’s not a fighter…He’s a coward. I am not that guy. I love fighting. I love Dubai, …I took this fight on five days’ notice against this coward – There’s people that really do want to fight. Jake Paul, Tommy Fury, Mike Perry. They’re all running. I will fu*king decapitate them…

He and ‘Platinum’ have long had a “love-me-hate-me” contentious relationship. While they seemingly mended fences, they are back at it again. The ‘King of Violence’ recently destroyed Thiago Alves at KnuckleMania 4 in April. However, Till is not sold on his BKFC success. Any potential bout might take place in the BKFC. As such, it has the potential to become the most highly-anticipated bout in BKFC history.
