The Charlotte Hornets hosted the Detriot Pistons on Thursday night at the Spectrum Center. The Hornets have had a mediocre start to the 2024-25 NBA season. However, they saw out a close win in OT against the Pistons. Their star players LaMelo Ball and Brandon Miller led the attack. At one point, Ball made a jaw-dropping shot that became the talking point of the game.
LaMelo Ball scored a three-pointer from the logo which sent the crowd wild. Not only the crowd, but Hornetsโ commentator, Eric Collins in particular could not believe it as well. They were left in awe of his three-point shooting ability. Ball finished the game strongly, dropped 35 points, collecting 6 rebounds, and provided 9 assists against the Pistons.
Hornetsโ Miller was on fire for his side against the Pistons. He scored a career-high 38 points against the Pistons. Interestingly, Miller and Ball are the only teammates in franchise history to score 35 points or more in a single game. Both stars have performed admirably this season but have received very less support from their defense.
