The โDraymond Green Showโ is everywhere! The podcast hosted by its namesake, Golden State Warriors veteran Draymond Green, has often been dubbed as the โnew media,โ mostly by Green himself. However, it seems like not just fans but NBA referees, too, tune in to the podcast to hear the starโs comments.
Ahead of Wednesday nightโs 120-97 drubbing of the Atlanta Hawks by the Warriors, NBA referee Tyler Ford called out Draymond Green for his podcast comments about the NBAโs officiating issues. Ford certainly didnโt take Greenโs comments about poor officiating in the league lightly, taking a jab at the Warriors star prior to the game.
Of course, Fordโs mocking warning did not dissuade Draymond Green, who was still heard chirping about foul calls from the Warriorsโ bench. His comments came after his recent โdirtyโ foul against the Memphis Grizzlies caused uproar in the NBA community.

On his podcast, Draymond Green expressed his frustration against the NBA after his foul against Grizzlies rookie Zach Edey was upgraded to a flagrant foul upon review. The controversy stemmed from Grizzlies coach Taylor Jenkinโs complaints about Green โbreaking the codeโ with his tough foul on Edey.
Can Draymond Green win DPOY?
Draymond Greenโs return to form this season is one of the most underrated storylines brewing beneath the surface this year. The last few years have been rough for him, especially after his suspension issues last season derailed the Warriors and his own performance.
However, Draymond Green has been dominant from the start of this season. He is among the early leaders touted to win the DPOY award after spearheading the Warriorโs fourth-ranked defense.
They have a 105.7 defensive rating, trailing only the OKC Thunder, Houston Rockets and Orlando Magic. Their defensive stronghold has allowed them to stand atop the Western Conference with an 11-3 record so far.
As for Green himself, he has been a rock on defense so far. While he has averaged a seemingly normal 2.2 stocks per game so far, opposing offenses have struggled to score with him on the court. After winning his last DPOY award in 2017, it would be a truly momentous achievement for Green to win the award again as he approaches 35 years of age.
