As the world focused on the dogfight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson, another dogfight was taking place in San Francisco. The Memphis Grizzlies took on the Golden State Warriors for their first game of the NBA Cup. Both teams play a physical brand of basketball. However, Warriors star Draymond Green pushed the limits with an apparent โdirty foulโ on Grizzlies rookie Zach Edey.
The play occurred during a sequence in the 3rd quarter with the Warriors up 10 points. Draymond Green drove towards the basket after a physical move to get past Jaren Jackson Jr. of the Grizzlies. However, when Green turned the corner, he tripped and fell, losing control of the ball. Soon, he rolled on the floor and seemingly stuck his leg out, tripping up Grizzlies rookie Zach Edey in the process.
Draymond Green was assessed with a transition take foul, leading to a free throw and possession for the Grizzlies. However, there was some concern as Edey, the rookie giant, went tumbling to the court after the trip from Green. Neither star suffered any injuries on the dangerous play.

Zach Edey finished the game with 14 points and 10 rebounds in 23 minutes of game time. Green, on the other hand, had an eventful night. He finished the game with 13 points with 3 threes from distance, alongside his usual gritty defense. However, some late-game flourishes soured the end of the game for Green.
Draymond Green ejected in Warriors victory
Draymond Green was a menace on both the defensive and offensive side of the ball. The Warriors pulled off a 123-118 victory to secure their second NBA Cup victory. However, at the end of the game, a heated Warriors team got into it with the officials. As the Grizzlies rallied back to chip into nearly a 20-point lead for the Warriors, tempers started flaring up on the DubNation bench.
Green was initially assessed a technical foul after a foul call on him in the 4th quarter. Soon, Warriors coach Steve Kerr also got involved in the bickering with officials. As Green continued to chip from the bench, both he and Kerr were assessed technical fouls. Eventually, it lead to an ejection from the game for Green.

After declaring that he will end the season with less than 10 technical fouls, Green picked up two in tonightโs victory. For the season, the star defender has picked up four technical fouls in 12 games played. These numbers are well short of the elusive 16 technical foul limit, which Green has often been an offender of.
