Watch: CM Punk cut a promo for the LGBTQ community after AEW Collision went off air

CM Punk returned to AEW television after almost nine months of hiatus. He started the debut episode of AEW Collision with a promo and wrestled in the main event. Punk had gone out months ago, surrounded by controversy. However, Punk showed his support with a sign from the fans after the show went off-air and broadcasting stopped.

The Chicago native made his much-anticipated return to AEW after being out with an injury since September 2022. His return was announced by Tony Khan weeks in advance. Later, it was announced that he would be teaming up with FTR to take on Samoa Joe, Juice Robinson, and Jay White in the main event.

After CM Punk and FTR defeated Joe, Robinson, and White, the show went off-air with the three men standing tall in the ring. After the show, CM Punk and FTR stayed back in the ring to talk to the crowd. Punk pointed out a sign from the audience that read, “Support LGBTQ Community”

He also cut a promo for the audience, showing his support for the sign. He said he had experienced not fitting in with his friends and people around him. But that was because he liked to have a different haircut and different tastes in music. He cannot understand the pain that a person has to go through by pretending to be something that they are not. Watch the video to know what the former AEW Champion said about LGBTQ rights:

Therefore, he urged everyone to support the LGBTQ community. He also revealed that when he distributed ice cream bars to the audience last time, a share of the money made was given to support the trans community.

CM Punk and The Elite have been in the headlines consistently since their backstage brawl at All Out 2022. The two sides were suspended, and an investigation was launched because of the magnitude of the brawl. However, it looks like Punk might agree with The Elite on one topic.

After the debut episode of AEW Collision went off the air, CM Punk showed his support for the LGBTQ community and cut a promo in support. It was noted previously that Kenny Omega, who was a part of the backstage brawl, also showed his support to the community a few months ago.

Both wrestlers respect the thoughts and ideologies that affect people. Fans, therefore, hope that the two sides overcome their differences and work together peacefully. This would go a long way toward strengthening AEW as a dominant company in competition with WWE.
