When you are the favorite to be the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft, the pre-draft period ought to be stress-free. Caleb Williams was spotted having some groovy fun, just a few weeks before the 2024 NFL Draft, where he is projected to land at the Chicago Bears. 

So far, football fans have seen the USC star talking about his hopes and dreams for the NFL or making the headlines for his bold decisions in the pre-draft process. But it’s the first time fans got to see the different side of Williams, sitting amongst the audience at a basketball game.

Not that the Monday match between the New York Knicks and the Detroit Pistons wasn’t a hit, but the elite football star in the audience stole the show. As the camera pointed at him, Williams showed off his groovy dance and had a good time. The NCAA March Madness also uploaded a video of the USC star quarterback with the caption, Williams “is having a good time.” 

He also reposted the tweet on his X account with the caption:

This special outing was just a few weeks ahead of the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft. The Bears having the No. 1 pick has marked the quarterback as their own with some not-so-subtle moves.

Matt Eberflus hails Caleb Williams standout’s Pro Day impact

The Bears are particularly proud of their No. 1 pick prospect for his astonishing performance at the USC’s Annual Pro Day. Head coach Matt Eberflus, who went to see Williams’ performance, was asked about his interaction with him on Monday. 

Eberflus told NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero:

Earlier in the offseason, there had been a lot of debates on who the Bears would go forward as the starting QB when they hadn’t traded Justin Fields. But when they traded him to the Pittsburgh Steelers previously this month, Williams’ odds of landing in the Windy City became more prominent.
