A battle between the two lanky and tall stars took place in the NBA. Victor Wembanyama played against the Phoenix Suns. In other words, he went head-to-head against Bol Bol. However, it was the incident that grabbed headlines. It was when the referee called a foul against Bol Bol, and he ranted at the referee with an NSFW message.
With 9 minutes left in the 2nd quarter, Victor Wembanyama received the ball in a post position against Bol Bol. After initially backing down, the San Antonio Spurs rookie bent down and tried to drive to the basket. Bol reached in with his right hand to try and knock the ball away, only to hit Wembanyama in the stomach. The referees blew the whistle. He said these NSFW words to referees while shaking his head;

Essentially, Bol insinuated that the referees had a bias towards Wembanyama. He did not think the smack was hard enough to warrant a foul call. The Phoenix Suns rising star has often been compared to the Spurs rookie for their size. But Bol felt that Wembanyama got the benefit of doubtful calls from referees. Bol felt that the league wanted to protect him with such ‘unwarranted calls.’
Wembanyama could not lead his San Antonio Spurs team to a win, as the Suns won the game 131-106. Playing back-to-back games, the Spurs could not sustain the barrage of scoring from the Suns. The game played out in such a way that Suns superstars Kevin Durant and Devin Booker did not need to play in the 4th quarter.
The 24-year-old Bol has played in the NBA for five seasons. The former Oregon standout and son of former Defensive Player of the Year Manute Bol has a unique skill set. NBA champion Shaquille O’Neal once said the younger Bol had everything the league needs in a superstar. The legend wanted Bol to get rid of the lazy attitude and work on his game. O’Neal believed he had everything skill and size to be better than Wembanyama.
