It was another historic night for LeBron James, as the King became the first player ever in NBA history to reach 40,000 points. But less excited with the result of the game, it wasn’t the best performance from the home side as they got slammed by Denver Nuggets by a score line of 124-114. And just maybe, Jamal Murray wanted exactly that to happen on their trip to Los Angeles.

The LA Lakers have lost 8-consecutive times against the Denver Nuggets. Marking their last win in 2022 just shows how much of a dominance they have had over the new crowed In-Season tournament winners. Last night was the same story, with Jamal Murray revealing that the Nuggets had a ruthless mentality going into that game.

Every time it’s some night in LA, we got to play the Lakers… We just wanted to take the life out of this arena.

And he kept his word, dominating from the 2nd half onwards till the end, adding more misery to an already disappointing season from the Los Angeles Lakers. With 42 wins and 3rd in the Western Conference, their title defense continues. As for the men in yellow and white, problems continue to add up every game.

Jamal Murray and the Nuggets cruise past the Lakers for the 8th consecutive time

The Denver Nuggets were successful in stretching their winning streak to 6 games as their visit to the Los Angeles Lakers turned fruitful for them and a disappointing night for the home side. The records between these two say a lot.

Since their last victory over the Nuggets in 2022, the Lakers have failed to win a single game against them, stretching their loss record to 8. Last night it was yet another dominant performance from the title holders.

While LeBron reached another height, scoring 40,000 points in NBA history, their party was cut short with a 124-114 loss. The MVP shone for them scoring 26 points and 9 assists but it wasn’t enough for them to stop the likes of Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic, who were in absolute form.

Totaling up to 59 points, there was no stopping this brute force of nature and they continued to extend their dominance, hoping to defend their title glory from last year.
