Chris Paul‘s ability to get into the minds of his opponents by making snarky comments and getting under their skin is well-known. This tactic not only angers them but also leads them to commit mistakes. NBA veteran and former All-Star Jeff Teague described one incident of Chris Paul’s trash-talking prowess.

Teague not too long ago talked about his encounter with CP3 on the Club 520 podcast. He shared that it occurred throughout his time with the Indiana Pacers and the way he actually needed to combat Paul as a consequence of his trash-talking.

“It’s the first time he ever talked s**t to me and the first time I really wanted to fight him,” Teague mentioned. “Before the game, he [Chris Paul] like ‘JT what’s up baby?’ All political and s**t. I’m like ‘What’s going on? … I might need a pair of them CPs right there.’ Just trying to keep the conversation going. He was like ‘Okay. Yeah, yeah.’”

Teague continued and added, “He do a lot of flopping. So he was trying to give me two fouls, i’m like ‘Quit flopping n***a. Play. You scared to guard?’ This n***a walked to the end of our bench where Paul George was sitting was like ‘P! This n***a right here talking s**t like he ain’t ask me for some shoes before the game?’ … I wanted to run into this n***a so bad.”

Now that Paul has signed with Golden State Warriors this season, his antics may get much more intense as he groups up with Draymond Green, referred to as top-of-the-line trash-talkers within the recreation. Seeing them trash-talk their opponents can be extremely entertaining since we hardly ever get to witness two prime trash-talkers on the identical crew.
