Utah Jazz’s center Walker Kessler had quite a lot to celebrate this past weekend. The NBA star’s girlfriend, Abbie Stockard, was crowned Miss America 2025 on Sunday after the Jazz added another win to their card. One of the two things brought a wave of shock and surprise for Kessler and it wasn’t the latter.
In a video of Walker Kessler, the NBA guy is captured reacting to his girlfriend winning the beauty pageant. Abbie Stockard represented Alabama in this year’s Miss America held at Orlando, Florida’s Walt Disney Theater.
As the event reached the point of one of the coronations of either Miss Alabama or Miss Texas, Kessler watched the live telecast. The Jazz athlete was left suspended of belief as he sprang out of his chair when Stockard was announced victorious. Accompanying him was Utah Jazz coach Will Hardy who tried to hype him up over his perpetual shock.
Walker Kessler’s bewilderment eventually wore off and he embraced his head coach with a hug. He posted the video on his Instagram handle and congratulated the new Miss America while expressing his pride. Reportedly, Kessler and Abbie Stockard met as sophomores at Auburn University. She attended the institution as a cheerleader and a nursing student. Meanwhile, Kessler played one season with the team before entering the 2022 NBA Draft.
This was one of the two things Kessler had to celebrate the other day. The Jazz power forward ended the Sunday night game against the Orlando Magic with a season-high 17 rebounds. Presently, he averages 2.5 through 28 games, coming second to San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama.

Walker Kessler celebrated Abbie Stockard’s win with a bouquet of flowers as he surprised the pageant queen. His reaction, however, has people scrambling for pens to take notes as it continues to circulate on the internet. The video also garnered wholesome reactions in Kessler’s comments section.
One of them, from Kessler’s teammate, Brice Sensabaugh stood out the most. The Jazz teammate hilariously commented that this was the emotion he had seen from the Auburn alumni. The internet can’t object to that now.
Stockard left her own reaction to Kessler’s surprise. Coming up, she will travel around the globe to advocate the position during her tenure. The win surely marks a huge victory for both individuals.
