Internet sensation IShowSpeed never backs down from a challenge, with an incredible amount of self-belief and super athleticism. Now, Darren “IShowSpeed”, aka just Speed is going viral yet again, this time for another brutal spar. During a Kun Khmer session at Cambodia Top Team, the viral sensation picked up his rival and slammed him!
Native to Asia, stand-up and clinch fighting are at the heart of the sport. Fighters can tee punches, kicks, elbows, and knees to knock the other out. As the crowd roared, Speed delivered with combos to the torso. However, the Cambodian caught a leg, forcing him onto his back foot. IShowSpeed can now successfully bill himself I-Show-Strength, as he doubled down on not giving in inside the clinch and picked up the opponent! Slamming him, he opted for quick ground-and-pound.
While the opponent did get the better of him, sending him into the air, this in itself was a feat. One would think meeting Thai-Algerian kickboxer, Nabil Anane or a liver shot from Manny ‘PacMan’ Pacquiao would be enough. While in attendance at Fanatics Fest in NYC, he also tapped streamer Adin Ross in a headlock, with UFC CEO Dana White overseeing. The internet personality has an unquenchable thirst for athleticism and is just soaking it all in.
In another part of the Kick stream, Speed showed off his strength at the Javits Center. The Internet sensation racked up 921 points — surpassing UFC champ Alex Pereira’s Brazillinator record of 906 points. Speed recently also jumped on the Ewa Swoboda hype train, challenging the Polish sprinter in a quick dash.
Is IShowSpeed combat-trained?
No, “IShowSpeed” is not combat trained. Matter of fact, the frail Cincinnati, Ohio native wasn’t genetically superior, to begin with at all. In July 2023, while he was in Tokyo, he suffered a severe sinus infection and cluster headache and had to go to the hospital.
Banking on his often violent behavior, the Internet sensation grew in popularity and reverted to more performative video output. Before that, the avid gamer barely managed to average two viewers, playing Fortnite and NBA 2K.

Two months later, in June 2021, his channel will have reached 1 million subscribers. From there it was one dangerous mission to the other. When things got too heated (literally; he burned down his bedroom with fireworks) Speed took the stunt outside.
However, fans were quick to judge the authenticity of his athletic feats given he wasn’t sports-trained at all. On August 3, 2024, Speed performed a live-stream stunt in which he leaped over two speeding luxury cars – a Lamborghini and a McLaren. The aim was to prove his athleticism and silence the skeptics who had previously doubted the authenticity of the stunt. The stream itself then violated YouTube’s terms of service.
IShowSpeed would later take his stint to the combat sports foray. He had a viral appearance on the 2nd night of WWE WrestleMania XL on 7 April 2024. There he dressed as a bottle of Prime for the WWE US Championship match between Logan Paul, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton. Speed also announced Raw brand’s second-round picks for Night 2 of the 2024 WWE Draft. From there, he has participated in much crossover sparring on Live streams.
