As 2025 begins, the Spaniard aims to continue this momentum. Recently, a clip surfaced of Ilia Topuria training, where he can be seen showing his punching power.

‘El Matador’ is arguably one of the most popular Spanish individuals representing their nation on the global stage. As a result, he has become well-known among several renowned Spanish personalities. Recently, Topuria was seen with Spanish singer Omar Montes, who uploaded the widely circulated training video of the UFC featherweight champion.

In the clip, Ilia Topuria was seen delivering power-packed punches, primarily focusing on combinations, while his coach, Jorge Climent, held the pads for him. Topuria was training in his exclusive facility, which features several amenities designed to enhance his MMA skills.

Given his current status as a UFC featherweight champion, this state-of-the-art training center has significantly advanced Topuria’s capabilities in mixed martial arts. Topuria is currently undefeated in his professional MMA career. In his impressive UFC journey, the Spaniard has won the majority of his fights by knockout.

Most recently, he defeated several veterans in the UFC featherweight division also by knockout. At UFC 298, Topuria subdued Alexander Volkanovski to claim the featherweight championship. Following that, former champion Max Holloway faced a similar fate at UFC 308 against Topuria.

‘The Blessed’ Max Holloway has built a reputation as one of the best boxers in the promotion. His infamous bout against Calvin Kattar in 2021 showcased his boxing skills to the world. Consequently, the fight between Holloway and Ilia Topuria gained significant attention within the UFC community. However, the outcome ended up being contrary to many people’s expectations.

After the fight, the Hawaiian fighter posted a video on his YouTube channel reflecting on his loss to the Spaniard. Interestingly, while many praised Topuria for his striking power, Holloway seemed to dismiss it, suggesting it didn’t deserve significant recognition.

Everybody talking about how hard of a puncher [Topuria] is, his punches didn’t feel any different from anybody else I ever fought. Like, it was no big difference… He just landed something that landed. Even the one that landed didn’t feel too crazy.
