Hall of Famer Charles Barkley always goes viral for having the best one-liners on the ‘Inside the NBA’ squad. Fans look forward to the panel reacting to the players’ arrival before games, as Barkley always has something sarcastic to add. During the pre-game segment for the Sacramento Kings’ matchup with the Houston Rockets last night, Barkley also subtly took a jibe at TikTok.
Charles Barkley and the other panelists were watching the matchup’s pregame tunnel fits. Chuck is back more than ever after missing an episode, and he wasted no time calling out Alperen Sengun for his outfit. As much as that was anticipated, Barkley also added something hilarious after watching D’Aron Fox making content for social media.
The veteran joked about the upcoming ban on TikTok which caught his partners off guard.
The other three were in splits for Barkley’s quick-witted remark and Earnie Johnson was also impressed by Chuck’s social media knowledge. The news of TikTok’s ban from this week is a hot topic in the country, but Barkley speaking on it brought a fresh and amusing perspective.
Charles Barkley:
“Hey, get your TikTok in before it’s illegal.”😂😂

Just a few days ago, Barkley caught a lot of attention for his cheeky comment about Jay-Z. Along with the viewers, panelist Shaquille O’Neal was also in disbelief at Chuck’s pure admission. However, Barkley was right about his warning about TikTok. A significant amount of social media promotion of the NBA comes from the app and now the teams’ management has to find other reliable mediums.
Charles Barkley wanted to be in a TikTok with a fan
It is not a surprise that Barkley has opinions that he firmly sticks with. The legendary player calls out people without thinking twice. A long time ago, Chuck had similar thoughts about people using Instagram. The Hall of Famer called Instagram users fools and swore he would never have one for himself. That turned out to be inaccurate when Chuck opened up his account last year.
Since then, the star has been an active user of the app. Long before that, fans thought Barkley would even become a TikToker after a clip went viral on the platform. In 2022, a fan walked up to the NBA legend in a bar asking him to film her video.
Not only did Chuck do that without hesitating, but the Phoenix Suns’ veteran hilariously asked to be in the TikTok with her. “This is a TikTok? I want to do a TikTok with both in it,” Charles Barley said to the fan.
“This is a TikTok? I wanna do a TikTok.”

Unfortunately for us basketball fans, Chuck never ended up opening his own TikTok. But it seems that the star will miss the app just as much as the next person. Keeping the humor aside, while roasting Sengun, Barkley gave credit where it was due. The analyst praised the Rockets for their performance and amazing improvement.
