Although he didn’t lead the Los Angeles Lakers to an NBA title, Anthony Davis played a major role in the USA once winning an Olympic Gold. As such, he fully deserves to rest after a long and productive season, with a recent visit to Malibu, Florida.
However, Anthony Davis got embroiled in an incident with a young who wanted to get an autograph. Sadly, the Lakers center ignored the kid. The incident led an LA Clippers fan, named Jacob to take to X to blast LeBron James.

The situation has created a divide as some believe he was wrong in how he handled the situation. For the rest, they are all about privacy, celebrities or not.
AD would love to put this controversy behind as he aims to continue from where he stopped last season for the Lakers to build an early-season momentum. Last season, Davis helped the USA to an Olympic Gold and the Lakers, to the inaugural NBA Cup.
Coach JJ Redick gives his opinion on LeBron James and Anthony Davis’s fatigue after the Olympics
As mentioned earlier, Anthony Davis was pivotal in the 8th Olympic medal, but he wasn’t alone in this endeavor. He also had MVP and fellow Laker, LeBron James by his side. James had a wonderful time in Paris as he averaged 14.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 8.5 assists while AD came up with 8.3 points, 6.7 rebounds, and 2 assists per game.
But there are fears that both players may have reached their break-point and may need an extended period of rest. Talking on the matter was Lakers Head Coach, JJ Redick who made an appearance on Spectrum SportsNet’s Lakeshow where he reaffirmed his commitment to them.
I mean, look, those guys are professionals in every sense of the word. My concern for them about whether or not they’ll be ready to play on Oct. 22 and be in shape, I don’t have that concern… They’ll certainly be involved in training camp and the preseason here in September as well as preseason games.

In his first season as a coach, Redick will need a healthy duo of Anthony Davis and LeBron James if they are to have a shot at challenging the status quo of the West. The Lakers open their season with a home game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Moreover, James has the chance to play with his son, Bronny James, and become the 1st father-son duo to play together. As such, he would be keen to get in shape as soon as possible.
