The UFC light heavyweight champion, Alex Pereira, is a father of two sons, Alessandro Vidal Silva and Lohan Vidal Silva, from his ex-wife. Interestingly, during the Christmas season, Alex Pereira was seen enjoying time with his family in celebration. However, in a surprising turn of events, the Brazilian fighter couldn’t stay away from his daily involvement with MMA.

Pereira recently shared a video on his Instagram story (@alexpoatanpereira) featuring his son, Lohan Vidal Silva. Notably, both of Pereira’s sons have strong ties to the MMA world. The current UFC light heavyweight champion is a prominent fighter in the sport is one aspect of it. Additionally, their family has a rich lineage in combat sports, with many other members involved in similar pursuits.
Interestingly, Pereira’s sister, Aline Pereira, recently garnered attention due to her exceptional karate skills. Like her brother, Poatan, Aline displayed a powerful left hook that impressed MMA fans. Given this impressive lineage, the sons of the UFC light heavyweight champion are also considering a career in MMA, with one of them even aiming for a UFC debut around UFC 400.

Alex ’Poatan’ Pereira made his UFC debut in 2021. Since then, the Brazilian fighter has been an unstoppable force in the promotion. He first became the champion of the middleweight division and currently reigns as the UFC light heavyweight champion. However, despite his current accolades and successful career filled with riches, Poatan was not born into luxury.

Regarding his MMA career, Pereira is currently the UFC light heavyweight champion and one of the most sought-after matchups in the sport. Notably, Magomed Ankalaev and Jon Jones are among the fighters interested in facing him. It will be interesting to see who Pereira fights next and when that matchup will happen.
