Dushara Vijayan is absolutely over the moon after getting the chance to work alongside the legendary Rajinikanth in Vettaiyan. The actress has been overwhelmed by the positive feedback she’s been receiving from the audience for her performance alongside the superstar. Recently, she poured her heart out on social media, reminiscing about her unforgettable experience working with Thalaivar.
In a heartfelt note, Dushara expressed, “There are certain things that I’ve always dreamt of, but never did I imagine that working with The Superstar, The Thalaivar would become a reality. It was beyond my wildest dreams.” She went on to share that her very first day and first shot on the film set were with Rajinikanth himself, and the whole experience felt nothing short of “surreal.” She described Rajinikanth’s aura and energy as truly “magical.”
Reflecting on her childhood memories, Dushara revealed that she used to rush home after school just to catch one of Rajinikanth’s movies. She exclaimed, “Oh my goodness, I feel incredibly fortunate. This is truly my ‘Padayappa’ moment.”
Wrapping up her emotional message, the Raayan actress expressed her deep gratitude, acknowledging that all her hard work and patience had finally paid off. “Once again, I want to say ‘You are truly a Superstar, a Thalaivar, beyond compare’,” she wrote.
The film Vettaiyan follows the story of Sharanya (played by Dushara), a dedicated government school teacher in Kanyakumari who uncovers a drug trafficking operation near her school. Kanyakumari SP Athiyan (portrayed by Rajinikanth), known for his controversial encounter killings, takes charge of the case. He confronts the drug lord and dispenses ‘justice,’ setting off a chain of events leading to a larger controversy. The screenplay was co-written by TJ Gnanavel and B. Kiruthika.
Notably, the star-studded cast of Vettaiyan includes Rajinikanth, Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, and more. The movie premiered in theaters on October 10, coinciding with Navratri celebrations.
