The Super Bowl game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers was a massive success. The game had everything from thrilling overtime to energetic halftime performances from Usher and Alicia Keys.
However, headlining the Super Bowl halftime show wasnโt even the best part of the artistโs weekend. The R&B singer got married to his longtime girlfriend, Jennifer Goicoechea, in Vegas.
According to PEOPLE magazine, the Grammy Award-winning artist tied the knot with Goicoechea on February 11 at Terrace Gazebo, an outside wedding chapel in Vegas. Usherโs mom, Jonetta Patton, was the coupleโs witness. Later, a representative for the singer confirmed their wedding to the outlet.
We can confirm that Usher and Jennifer Goicoechea took the next step in their relationship and did get married on Sunday night in Las Vegasย surrounded by close friends and family. They both look forward to continuing to raise their children together surrounded by love and thank everyone for the well wishes.

Usher and Goicoechea have been dating for more than four years. They have been together since 2019 and share two kids โ a daughter, Sovereign Bo Raymond, and a son, Sire Castrello Raymond. Usher also had two kids with his ex-wife, Tameka Foster.
Nonetheless, this wedding reportedly happened just a few hours after Usher rocked the stage during the Super Bowl halftime show at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. He also received some backlash from fans on social media for getting too intimate on the stage with his co-performer, Alicia Keys. The 16-time Grammy Award-winning singerโs husband, Swizz Beatz, had to address the issue on his Instagram profile.
Usher opened up about marrying Jennifer Goicoechea a week ago
Just a week before marrying his longtime girlfriend Jennifer Goicoechea, the R&B artist Usher opened up about their relationship with PEOPLE. The singer said they are going to be in each otherโs life till death.
We’ve obviously made a commitment to life for life together because of our children. It wouldn’t be odd for us to get married. We already did here. You know what I’m saying? And we’re going to be in each other’s lives until we die, obviously, because we have something to share. That’s beautiful.
Usher told PEOPLE
It seems like Usher had a busy weekend in Vegas as he headlined the Super Bowl show and married his long-time girlfriend. He certainly had a good time in Vegas, despite some negative remarks about his performance.
On the sporting side of things, the Chiefs defeated the 49ers in the Super Bowl and won the 4th ring in the franchiseโs history. Their QB, Patrick Mahomes, was named the Super Bowl MVP for the third time in his short career so far.
