The controversy took a heated turn when Telangana Minister Konda Surekha pointed fingers at Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader KTR, alleging that he was the reason behind their separation. This accusation did not go unnoticed, as Nagarjuna took a stand by seeking legal action against the politician for defamation.
In a heartfelt interview with Galatta India, Samantha poured her heart out about the overwhelming support she received from the entire South Indian film industry amidst the online backlash. The talented actress shared, “I owe my strength to this incredible group of people who never gave up on me. It is their unwavering love and belief in me that pulled me through this tough time.”
Samantha went on to reveal that without the industry’s support, her healing process would have been much slower. She admitted, “I would have been lost in despair without a cause to fight for—to rise again. It is the trust and encouragement of these wonderful people that have brought me to where I am today.”
Returning to the controversy, it all began when Konda Surekha made shocking claims during a media interaction, accusing KTR of disrupting the lives of several female stars in the Telugu film industry. She went as far as to suggest that KTR had pressured Nagarjuna to send Samantha in exchange for not demolishing his esteemed N-convention center. When the actress refused to comply, it allegedly led to the unfortunate end of her marriage with Naga Chaitanya.
Surekha boldly declared, “KTR is the root cause of Samantha and Naga Chaitanya’s separation.”
These contentious remarks sparked widespread outrage across the nation. Nagarjuna and his family took a stand by filing a defamation lawsuit against the minister, as she failed to apologize for the distress caused to them. Surekha only extended her apologies to Samantha and attempted to retract her damaging comments about her.
