Rising bantamweight star Payton Talbott has a unique callout lined up ahead of his UFC 311 encounter. No, it’s not something ludicrous like Jon Jones or Floyd Mayweather. It is more on humanitarian grounds and Talbott wants to take the war to human ‘con artist’ and retired kickboxer Andrew Tate.

The red-hot prospect Payton Talbott meets Raoni Barcelos at UFC 311. When he has finished with the ultra-tough Barecelos, Talbott already knows who he wants next and why. To that end, the Team Reno Academy of Combat MMA fighter said Andrew Tate, the so-called leader of the “manosphere”, is his complete detraction in standards.

Yeah, that’s the one. Yeah, let’s get that going, …I’d take that; I’d take that. Yeah, yeah, it’s just a free-for-all – He’s just the antithesis of me,…It seems like someone just cheated on him when he was younger, and now he has this vendetta against women. I feel like he takes himself super seriously, and it’s just like, he’s kind of a poison for masculine culture.

Talbott isn’t the first and only UFC fighter to want to scramble with “Cobra.” Sean Strickland also wants a piece of the Tate brothers, especially Andrew Tate. In just three UFC fights, Dana White’s Contender Series alum Talbott has risen to prominence. He is coming off back-to-back POTN knockouts of Cameron Saaiman and recently Yanis Ghemmouri in just 19 seconds at UFC 303 PPV in June.

Unfortunately for Talbott, the former kickboxer just won a major legal victory in the trafficking case made against him in Romania. Talbott also jokingly made a case to fight David Goggins; the Strickland pathway to callouts is expanding. A lot of peers and analysts have high praise for Talbott, who is only 26 years with a bright future.

Henry Cejudo: UFC 303’s fiery Payton Talbott a clear threat for anyone in Top 10

The DWCS lineup has always boasted good names. Former bantamweight champ Sean O’Malley leads the charge along with former champ Jamahal “Sweet Dreams” Hill, Diego Lopes, Jack Della Maddalena and others as major contenders. Now, Payton Talbott joins up-and-coming names like Caio Borralho and clear prospects like Grant Dawson, who are big bets to make it big in title shots.

Subsequently, Henry Cejudo is all praise for the undefeated UFC bantamweight and UFC 311 star. Highlighting the UFC 303 prelims, “Triple C” said the rising bantamweight star was the one performer he was looking forward to the most.

I’m gonna have to go with Payton Talbott, man, …undefeated, he’s a wreck, man. He’s mentally a strong kid, he’s been finishing people in the UFC…He’s definitely like a high-profile prospect that’s kind of going under the radar, man. Really good striking, has takedowns, has submissions. We’re talking about a guy who’s well rounded, yet he is still growing, and I think there’s a reason why the UFC is putting him on this card.

Talbott put on a clinic by taking on another undefeated contender in Saaiman at UFC on ESPN 53 in March 2024. He finished him with a TKO in the second round. The bookies made him the -1600 favorite over Ghemmouri. “Triple C” claimed that the hype is warranted.

The young bantamweight already logged his quickest career win. Talbott even got back-to-back $50,000 Performance of the Night bonuses for his mettle so far. He isn’t getting top-notch callouts or scrambles and moved up to the advanced veteran seeds in the division. When he steps inside the brand-new Intuit Dome in Los Angeles for UFC 311, he’d aim to keep up a similar pace.
