Sean Brady is one of the most promising prospects in the UFC’s welterweight division. The fighter enjoyed a remarkable run following his promotional debut, winning five fights in a row. Brady’s loss to Belal Muhammad at UFC 280 resulted in accusations of getting ‘fraud-check’, which the fighter didn’t take lightly.

At UFC 280, Brady faced a different Muhammad who put his feet on the paddle from the get-go. In the second round, the young fighter couldn’t answer any of Muhammad’s strikes which forced the referee to stop the fight. It was Brady’s first and only loss of his professional MMA career. However, the fighter didn’t appreciate the ‘fraud-check’ remarks on Twitter and blasted fans for mocking him in the latest rant.

Twitter f**** sucks. It’s a cesspool full of miserable, miserable people. … What’s getting fraud checked? By a fighter that’s in the top 10 or top 15? I just don’t understand it…I guess I got fraud-checked by the UFC champion. Thanks, bro.

After that fight, Muhammad went on to defeat Gilbert Burns and later Leon Edwards to win the UFC welterweight belt. His ten-fight undefeated streak gave him massive confidence ahead of the title fight. Brady believes losing to the divisional champion isn’t a ‘fraud-check’ scenario.

Both fighters are BJJ black belts, and fans predict a grappling contest between them. Burns is unconcerned because the Brazilian is confident in his ground game. Belal Muhammad recently spoke on the fight, stating that Burns can win if he is determined enough.

Brady looked so good in his last fight and for Burns, he was looking good until he got finished. So, I think it just comes down to how hungry is Burns. Is he still motivated in there? Burns hits harder but I do think that Brady has better wrestling and is probably stronger on top.

Brady believes he’s a younger, stronger, and better version of ‘Durinho’ and will take the win to prove his potential. Brady is also backed by Robert Whittaker who believes the cardio factor will support the younger fighter. With a variety of speculations, it would be interesting to see how the fights go this weekend.
