The fallout of the last to last week’s Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing match is going on in no easier way. The return of the 58-year-old was not all that flashy as people had hoped for. Tyson did blitz but third round onwards, struggled to work range from his pocket and slowed down. That did not stop Paul from dreamign big, who went on to rekindle his enmity with UFC superstar Conor McGregor.
There was a lot of talk about the validity of Jake Paul’s lopsided decision win over Tyson. With “Iron” showing his age, many claimed the they rigged the Netflix-theme fight. Paul predictably had an easy time; with manager Nakisa Bidarian by his side, he later called out Conor McGregor. Adding to his last straw, now he gets an answer from two unlikely veteran voices, Yoel Romero and Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson.
UFC competition veteran ‘Rampage’ Jackson is kind of a prime instigator (think Chael Sonnen but in Bloodsport Bushido and Japan Pro circuit). He also recognizes and has immense respect for UFC PPV buy king McGregor. ‘Rampage’ often bills him as much with his ‘JAXXON’ Podcast co-host Bear Degidio. Meanwhile, ‘Soldier of God’ had his own super fight agenda in mind.
Yo @jakepaul watch how you talk to MMA royalty,I’ll fight you in MMA no weight class for no pay. That’s a great deal.. but i bet YOU won’t. Stop disrespecting people in my fucken sport homie. You fighting Tyson was your last straw.. go back to boxing wrestlers. pic.twitter.com/9w83xf3mtl

Hey @jakepaul you want to get ditty? @DirtyBoxing_ @PlatinumPerry

Romero recently blew the winds out of Power Slap competitor Duane Crespo at Mike Perry’s Dirty Boxing Championship. After which fans are clamoring, touting it as a challenge for Paul to flip the script and engage this retired 47-year-old rather than Tyson.
‘Problem Child’ often gets flak for keeping the thread of facing MMA washouts alive for victory; which Romero isn’t. However, Paul says so wouldn’t be Conor McGregor and neither was Tyson.
Jake Paul responds to ‘dumb’ fans that say Mike Tyson fight was rigged
‘Problem Child’ carried an immobile Mike Tyson en route to a win (80-72, 79-73 and 79-73) in their eight-round fight. Paul turned it up a notch in R3, hitting Tyson from distance and bit more steam with his left shots.
Things have been popping up after their pro bout drawing a wild 60 million viewers on Netflix. The Youtuber-turned-prizefighter from Ohio challenged Conor McGregor to an openweight MMA fight. He bills that the PPV drawing Irishman is UFC’s hostage until the exclusive media broadcast deals right of 2025. He said the UFC was slow-playing McGregor’s final two fights and hence would chicken out.
He has also been squabbling with a ‘clout-chasing’ Francis Ngannou for threating to slap him. But one slander he isn’t taking in is saying his fight was stupid and false. Was Mike Tyson losing a unanimous decision a fraud setup? No, fans were just too stupid to think so at all, says Paul.
Bidarian, Paul’s advisor and the co-founder of Most Valuable Promotions, had to field weird claims from fans drunk on nostalgia. It was moslty on the lines that Mike Tyson couldn’t contractually throw his signature uppercuts. Thank three-time Super Bowl champion Michael Irvin for that one particular rumor.
However, it’s a number game at the end of it. Jake Paul tapping at the aged legend made 65 million households tune in and an estimated 200 million viewers.
