With the emergence of social media, fight fans now have a great medium to connect with UFC fighters. As the legendary Mike Tyson once said, social media and online apps made people way too comfortable disrespecting others and not getting punched in the face. Recently, heavyweight fighter Tai Tuivasa shared an example of the same on social media.

Tai Tuivasa posted a video on X with a fan’s comment criticizing his reckless fighting style. The fan implied that it could be troublesome against opponents with long reach. Tuivasa responded by visiting the fan’s Instagram account and sharing a video of the fan sparring with a pillar. Then, the Australian heavyweight proceeded to blast fans for giving advice.

This is 90% of the c*nts in my comments and DMs telling me how to fight. I fight the top fighters in the world. Unless you are one of them or have done it before, keep your opinions to yourself.

Many fighters have frequently noted that it’s easy for spectators to say things without repercussions. Not too long ago, UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan punched a fan in the stands for showing him the middle finger. Nevertheless, ’Bam Bam’ is a man of the people and has a massive fan base because of his unfiltered personality.

Tai Tuivasa went viral for his famous ‘Shoey’ celebrations with random fans. The Australian fighter, once a top contender for the heavyweight belt, is now on a four-fight losing run. However, this did not prevent the fighter from enjoying a game of pool with Alex Pereira in Australia. Furthermore, as a professional, he may not require the assistance of random fans in preparation for his next fights.

During an interview with Daniel Cormier, Tuivasa talked about making changes in his training regimen. According to the fighter, he never lifted weights until recently. It shocked DC, given the incredible power of Tuivasa.

I have been doing weights. I’m trying to get stronger.  I never did weights. When I played rugby league, I was in the fat club. They never let me lift weights, because I would get too big.
