UFC bantamweight fight Casey Kenney last fought in the UFC in 2021. Since then, the fighter has not been around the octagon. Recently, disturbing news of Kenney being involved in domestic violence arose. Interestingly, weeks after that news, the UFC bantamweight has been arrested. Per MMA fighting, Phoenix Police officials confirmed that Phoenix Police Fugitive Apprehension Detectives arrested Kenney.

The arrest took place on August 16 at noon local time. The bantamweight fighter was booked on charges including kidnapping, aggravated assault, and assault. In July, Phoenix Police confirmed an incident that was first reported by the alleged victimโ€™s mother, who accused Kenney of domestic violence. Per the victimโ€™s mother, Esther Reyes, Casey Kenney has a history of committing domestic violence. The bantamweight fighter has repeatedly abused his girlfriend. Reyes also revealed the victim even has photos of injuries that she incurred after allegedly getting hit by Kenney.

Interestingly, it was not the first time Kenney was accused of such demeaning things. In one instance, former UFC fighter Megan Anderson confronted him for passing degrading comments on her. These backlashes on Kenney have hampered his image in the community once. However, following his recent arrest news, UFC reportedly removed the bantamweight from the promotion.

Kenneyโ€™s most recent fight was in August 2021, where he fought Song Yadong at UFC 265. Following that fight, he did not fight inside the octagon and remained relatively out of the public image. However, his recent antics have garnered everyoneโ€™s attention. As such, the UFC even released Kenney from the roster.

Popular MMA journalistย Damon Martin first reported it and then later confirmed by UFC Roster Trackerโ€™s X handle. There is no official confirmation from either UFC or Kenneyโ€™s team at this time. So far, most of the UFC fighters have remained quiet regarding the assault allegation and arrest of Casey Kenney.
