He had to face an array of criticism, but Rogan did his best to defend it by sharing his own experience.

The controversy brought together many people from different sides of opinion to go against each other. Back then, Musk also backed Rogan and against vaccine scientists, emphasizing the need for free speech.
In this case, Musk has repeatedly mentioned that it was not a Nazi salute, but was a normal gesture to show his love for the Republicans. He has shared many memes and examples on X of other celebrities doing the same in order to prove the hypocrisy. However, a certain part of the internet audience isn’t ready to accept it.
