UFC fighters are rarely seen having high-profile relationships. However, former UFC middleweight champion Luke Rockhold broke that stereotype when he began dating singer and actress, Demi Lovato. Rockhold recently talked about it and revealed a very interesting detail on the Jaxxon Podcast.
Luke Rockhold was present on the Jaxxon Podcast when guest Ffion Davies brought up the topic. Quinton Jackson was immediately intrigued and asked the Rockhold for more details. That was when the former champion revealed an interesting detail about their first date.
We actually did get tattoos on our first date… I was out of control.

The tattoo in question was a twin tattoo that both Lovato and Rockhold got of a smiling emoji. Rockhold even shared a picture of it on his Instagram. The couple were spotted together on multiple occasions. Their relationship started around August 2016.
It became public in November when Rockhold and Demi Lovato were seen holding hands at UFC 205 in New York City’s Madison Square Garden. It was the same fight where Conor McGregor became the first-ever UFC double champion. However, the relationship was relatively short-lived. The couple reportedly split up by January 2017. Despite their breakup, they seemed to have maintained a cordial relationship.

Khamzat Chimaev is now a middle-weight and has yet to lose any fight in his entire UFC career. Meanwhile, Rockhold had previously held the middleweight title. He has now taken steps to make his much-awaited UFC comeback and the two might potentially fight. However, not in the UFC.

It was recently revealed that the Chechen is back in training after missing UFC Saudi Arabia. In a previous interview with ESPN MMA, Rockhold had revealed that he and Chimaev were set to fight. But the Chechen refused to take the fight because he wanted to stay at 170 lbs division. Now that years later they are entering a showdown, it will be interesting to see how this one turns out.
