Sean OโMalley is willing to move up weight classes to fight Conor McGregor. The Irish superstar is a dream fight for many UFC fighters simply because of the brand value and attention he brings. The UFC bantamweight champion recently talked about what he was willing to do if a fight with McGregor was in the discussion.
Sean OโMalley recently sat down for a conversation on Bradley Martynโs Raw Talk. During the discussion, OโMalley talked about fighting Conor McGregor.
Conorโs one of the only guys I would fight that Iโm like that motherf*ckerโs big. I would just fight him at โ55. First of all, itโs a huge payday, second of all, itโs Conor. That would be legendary. So, heโs one of the rare guys I would fight that are way out of my weight class.

OโMalley said McGregor is big nowadays. He said he was pretty realistic when it comes to big guys. Suga fights at the 135lb weight class. He would go up to 145lb, and fight Alexander Volkanovski, Max Holloway, and others. The bantamweight champ had also called out featherweight champion Ilia Topuria to a fight but in most cases, he prefers to stay in his lane.
Interestingly, it is only for McGregor that OโMalley would consider going up two weight classes. The Notorious is finally making a comeback after years of being away from the octagon. It will be interesting to see if the two ever cross paths, especially after their recent comments about each other on social media.
Why did Sean OโMalley and Conor McGregor fall off?
Ryan Garcia recently won the boxing match against Devin Haney. However, reportedly he tested positive for Ostarine. Conor McGregor who had previously supported Garcia, publicly bashed him on X for cheating. However, UFC bantamweight champ Sean OโMalley caught strays as Conor McGregor brought up his drug case as well.
Sean OโMalley had similarly tested positive for Ostarine back in 2018. He faced much criticism at that time and was even removed from the UFC 229 fight card. However, the fighter argued he was innocent throughout the scandal. It later turned out that the substance entered his system through contaminated supplements.
OโMalley revealed he was upset by McGregorโs statements. McGregor had written that he would bust both Garcia and OโMalley in a spar. With Conor coming back to the UFC this June, could we get to see a showdown between the bantamweight champ and the Irish superstar? Only time will tell.
