Jiri Prochazka and Jamahal Hill will look to rebound from knockout losses to UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira from last year. Prochazka’s training has had all the good stuff – buddying ninja master, globe touring recourse, and so on!

Jamahal Hill has rebutted his loss and even dissed “fake” fighter Pereira and his gleaming aura. It is something the Czech fighter finds as a weakness. Hill has been touting challenges to anyone and everyone before UFC 311. Meanwhile, for the ‘Samurai’, gut, cut, glory, and grind is all Prochazka knows and his latest camp is no less weird and outstandingly different.

Everybody knows, that like, I had a camp in Japan, uh, …beautiful camp. Amazing camp, uh, …visiting beautiful places – trained with, uh big masters. Uh, the biggest masters of karate – uh…made a black belt in Kyokushin karate, uh, climbed the Popocatépetl the back – the…the Popo mountain. The volcano. But is all of the – like part of the preparation what I have to do. It’s about the principle of how to get the true power from the nature, from the people…

Prochazka (30-5-1 MMA, 4-2 UFC) logged a second-round TKO and ‘POTN’ Bonus award of $300k in April last year. However, he could not get that momentum going and lost a second title fight to ‘Poatan.’ It hasn’t dulled his sense of adventure or thirst though. The fighter did have some thoughts about forsaking the stake to gold and going down to 185 pounds. However, Prochazka soon walked back on it.

The former champions have been on a collision course for a while now. Prochazka is happy he is getting the chance to do it with Jamahal Hill; albeit the dirty banter. He has shown signs of a good, strong rebound and is having a good camp. However, there is at least one person who has doubts about said rebound.

Luke Rockhold questions Jiri Prochazka’s mental state following two knockout title losses

Jiri Prochazka and Jamhal Hill meet in a key divisional matchup on January 18 at Inuit Dome in Inglewood, UFC 311. “Sweet Dreams” has had some harsh words about Prochazka’s bland style, even billing him a low-IQ fighter. The banter between the two former champs is fully on.

Prochazka has retorted his outspoken rival also didn’t have a standout title performance. UFC’s ‘Samurai’ is brimming with confidence ahead of this matchup with Hill. He thinks he can get it done and climb the pecking order again. However, former UFC and Strikeforce titleholder Luke Rockhold has his doubts.

That’s a very tough fight man, …You just don’t know where Jiri’s at. His head and his mind. Both of them, they’re coming off bad losses to Pereira. Jiri, two bad losses. He just didn’t look himself…He knew what he needed to do, and he went out there and fought blindly…Like, what were you doing? I don’t know – To think you could stand with him and play this karate style, kung fu game? You can’t fight like that

Prochazka does tout an intermediate TKO win over Aleksandar Rakic. However, Rockhold considers Hill the sharper striker here. In what could be a potential floater for a title eliminator for UFC 311 PPV, he sees Prochazka at a clear disadvantage. Per BetOnline.ag — he has slim betting odds at +105 against Hill, who is embracing his villain role. Come January 18th, some answers will be more clear for sure.
