Triptii Dimri, a rising star in Bollywood, made her debut with Poster Boys in 2017. However, it was her role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s 2023 film, Animal, that truly brought her into the spotlight. Cast alongside the charming Ranbir Kapoor, Triptii found herself facing a daunting challenge during the filming of a crucial scene. In a recent podcast interview with The Ranveer Show, she candidly shared her experience of working with the actor she has admired for so long.
Recalling the intense pressure she felt that day, Triptii confessed to repeatedly stumbling over her lines while sharing the screen with Ranbir Kapoor. “I was under extreme performance pressure. An actor I’ve admired all my life is standing in front of me. I’m supposed to perform the scene with him,” she revealed.
Despite her struggles, Triptii found solace in the support offered by Ranbir Kapoor during the emotionally charged scene. She remembered how she found it difficult to cry on cue, and it was Ranbir’s encouragement that helped her through it.
Describing her co-star as “calm” and “secure,” Triptii Dimri highlighted Ranbir Kapoor’s compassionate nature and how his kindness made a significant impact on her. In Animal, Ranbir portrayed the character of Ranvijay Singh, while Triptii played Zoya, alongside Rashmika Mandanna as his on-screen wife, Geetanjali.
Although Animal received mixed reviews upon its release for its portrayal of toxic masculinity and misogyny, Triptii Dimri’s talent and dedication to her craft were undeniable. Her versatility as an actress was further showcased in Vicky Aur Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, a comedy film directed by Raaj Shaandilyaa, where she starred alongside Rajkummar Rao.
