For decades on end, men dressed and behaved a certain way. But all that has changed as men have become more and more progressive. Former NBA champion Dwyane Wade is one of those progressive males who wants to portray style and substance through his appearance. But his painted nails have drawn a lot of flak from fans. His former championship-winning teammate Udonis Haslem decided to talk to those fans.
The Miami Heat legend was at the NBA Summer League while filming his podcast The OGs Show. Former NBA star Patrick Beverley was a guest in that segment and asked him about his opinion on what Wade faces.

He should support Zaya and every dream that she has, regardless of what she wants to do in life. That’s a father’s and a parent’s job. So, regardless of that, sitting at home, painting his nails with his daughters, so what? That’s how you spend time with your daughter. That’s how y’all bond. We see so many girls that grow up and have daddy issues. Stop that hating.

Udonis Haslem was clear that what Wade does, is purely his business. If he paints his nails along with his daughter, then so be it. Haslem also mentioned that Dwyane Wade has always been a fashion trendsetter among men. Therefore, he is always forward-looking and does not shy away from trying to look good. Therefore, those fans berating him should instead follow in his footsteps.

Moreover, if a daughter wants his father to paint his nails, that is their decision. With all the broken families, it will do a world of good if parents spend time with their children. No matter how bizarre it feels.
Dwyane Wade has focused on family life and fashion since retiring
Ever since Dwyane Wade hung up his sneakers as a Miami Heat player, he has dedicated his time to what he loves to do most. One is his family, and the other is looking good, even when working. This has led him to dress smart when he was a part of Inside the NBA. Or as a part owner of the Utah Jazz. Even with his various other ventures.
It also helps that his wife is an actress, therefore, looking good runs in the family. He took his smart clean looks to Paris, as part of the broadcasting team of NBC, even for that short period of time. But more importantly, he is working hard to give his children the best platform for them to succeed.
In between all this, he made sure to be a part of podcasts so that he can share his experiences of playing in the league. The now 42-year-old is loving his life post-retirement. A healthy balance of family life, fashion and business.
