British heavyweight Tom Aspinall is not in the mood to stay quiet. After Jon Jones made a recent X-rated comment, the interim champion decided to respond. The British fighter brought up one of the darkest chapters of Jones’ career. In doing so, he criticized the reigning heavyweight champion for his past PED violations.
Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall’s rivalry started after UFC 295. Most recently, the interim champion trolled Jones in a post of SPORTbible KO. Following that, ‘Bones’ took no time to respond as he slammed Aspinall in the comments of that post. A few hours after that, Aspinall replied brutally, reminding the undisputed champion of failed drug tests.

Jon Jones has not been the epitome of a fair fighter because of the several drug controversies. This was another poke from the interim champion, as he aimed to irk Jones into fighting him. The heavyweight champion usually ignores the Brit. However, with the insults mounting day by day, Jones may no longer be able to let the insults slide by.
The buildup of their rivalry is fired up at the moment and caught the attention of Daniel Cormier. The former rival of Jon Jones recently reiterated how Aspinall did a good job of getting under the champion’s skin. Cormier also praised the British fighter’s determination to keep pursuing the fight. Additionally, in his recent video, DC pointed out another factor as the reason for Jones’ recent outburst.

Jon Jones’ career in the promotion has been exceptional. The 37-year-old has only one blemish in his UFC career against Matt Hamill. Apart from that, Jones and Cormier were exciting rivals at one point, and because of their rivalry, both DC and Bones seemed to have known each other very well. As such, Cormier mentioned how allegations of steroid usage affect the heavyweight champ.
